This head, possibly Artemis, shows the influence of Praxiteles, sculptor of the Aphrodite of Knidos statue, and is thought to be a Hellenistic original. It does not quite match the beauty of its famous sister: the eyes are strangely uneven, and the top of its head is flat. Perhaps it was finished in plaster in antiquity.
